The cheese was packaged in clear plastic wrap and featured the Whole Foods scale label with a code beginning with the number 293351, the Post-Gazette reports.
The victim, a 68 year-old man diagnosed with listeriosis in late may or early June, has since recovered.
The cheese was sold between May 20 and July 3. Whole Foods is refunding all recalled cheese. Customers may contact the health department at 412-687-2243 .
